Zoe Saldaña’s Cartier Necklace Took 738 Hours to Make

· Fashion

It was a big night for Zoe Saldaña at the 2025 Golden Globes. Beating off stiff competition, the actress took home one of the biggest accolades of the night for her work in Emilia Perez, and she was also one of the best-dressed stars of the evening in a sequinned Saint Laurent dress with a dramatic cape – and some seriously impressive jewellery.

The actress and her stylist, Petra Flannery, worked with Cartier on the glitzy finishing touches to her Globes look – a statement diamond necklace and earring set from one of the maison's new high jewellery collections entitled Nature Sauvage.

The necklace is a particularly show-stopping piece which was personally chosen by Flannery when she visited the maison in Paris. Named the Melis (meaning honey), the necklace features a honeycomb-inspired pattern of diamonds which was crafted over 738 hours of highly specialised work by the maison’s artisans, using complex and rare savoir-faire techniques.

The bee motif hangs from the necklace, made from a yellow diamond of 2.64 carats, in a briolette-cut, which is a signature of Cartier's.

The statement necklace was paired with the matching earrings, which also featured a honeycomb finish.

Of course, Saldaña is no stranger to Cartier. The actress has been a friend of the house and has worn the brand for a number of her most important red-carpet outings over the years, and she can now add the 2025 Golden Globes to this list, an evening which she will no doubt view as one of the highlights of her career.

When collecting her award on stage, the actress tearfully thanked her co-stars, particularly Selena Gomez who had also been nominated in the same category. "I know that it's a competition but all I have witnessed is us showing up for each other and celebrating each other, and it's just so beautiful," she said.
