Rare Untreated Pink Sapphires Just Dropped

· GEM

The new inventory, all untreated, features vibrant hues and unique bicolor combinations.

Vancouver, Wash.— Wholesale gemstone supplier Columbia Gem House (CGH) has released a new collection of untreated sapphires and rubies from central Tanzania.

The new offering features a wide range of colors, including vivid pink, saturated purple, fuchsia, and padparadscha sapphires, as well as true rubies.

The stones are sourced from the Winza and surrounding mining regions, which are known for producing vibrant, high-clarity material that is rich in chromium, the element responsible for the pink color in pink sapphires and, in higher concentrations, the red hue of rubies.

Some pieces exhibit natural bicolor zoning due to chromophore variation within a single crystal. This includes blends of red and blue, some of which result in bicolor and kaleidoscope gemstones with unique color combinations.

Columbia Gem House’s sourcing team said establishing a dependable supply chain for this material has been an important project.

"This material meets our standards for traceability and offers exceptional quality. We're particularly excited about offering clean, richly saturated pink sapphire in a market where untreated material is increasingly rare," the team said.

The initial offering includes rounds, baguettes, pears, and marquise shapes in calibrated sizes 4.5mm and under.

Columbia Gem House said each stone has been cut for maximum color intensity and overall brilliance.

Pinks, purples, fuchsias, and padparadscha tones are available in volume online at Columbia Gem House’s website.

Registered wholesale buyers can log in to view current inventory and pricing.
