Pritesh Patel Tapped as New President and CEO of GIA
GIA has announced that Pritesh Patel, currently serving as the chief operations officer, will take over as president and CEO starting August 4. 🌟
Patel will succeed Susan Jacques, who led the Gemological Institute of America since 2013. Jacques will stay on as a strategic adviser through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Patel joined GIA in 2015 as chief information officer and rose quickly through the ranks. By 2017, he was named senior vice president and COO. Prior to GIA, Patel served as vice president of IT at CIRCOR International, a company that produces flow control systems for aerospace, energy, and industrial markets. He also holds an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business. 🎓

Jacques reflected on her 11-year tenure during a podcast appearance in May, highlighting her journey and contributions to GIA’s growth and innovation.
