Louis Vuitton has launched the second chapter of its “Awakened Hands to Awakened Minds” collection, a stunning tribute to 19th-century French innovation that merges artistry and scientific inspiration.
The latest chapter introduces seven thematic collections and 50 intricate jewellery pieces, each designed to honor the remarkable creative and technological advances of the 19th century. Under the artistic direction of Francesca Amfitheatrof, this collection exemplifies Louis Vuitton’s mastery of precious metals and gemstones, transforming technical skill into breathtaking works of art.
Among the standout items are finely crafted necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings, which reflect the design sensibilities and craftsmanship of the era. A notable addition to this collection is a men’s capsule, featuring meticulously designed pieces like a compass, pocket watch, and brooches, all of which connect historical innovation to modern jewellery.
The collection’s thematic names—Splendeur, Phénoménal, Gravité, Dynamisme, Vision, Victoire, and Élégance—each draw inspiration from various 19th-century breakthroughs in fields like mobility, architecture, and decorative arts. Rare gemstones, such as Kashmir sapphires and Mozambique rubies, enhance the collection’s allure and showcase Louis Vuitton’s unrivaled artistic capabilities.
A key highlight of the Élégance line is a white gold headband adorned with LV Monogram Star cut diamonds, embodying a perfect blend of contemporary design and tradition. Another standout is the Gravitation-inspired necklace, which took over 2,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to complete.
This new chapter further solidifies Louis Vuitton's commitment to merging artistic brilliance with technological innovation, reaffirming its position as a leader in high jewellery design.
