London-based fine jewelry designer Karina Choudhrie is offering a unique kind of supplement: Vitamin Pink, a new collection that she recently unveiled in Las Vegas, marking her official debut in the U.S. market.
Expanding on the collection, Choudhrie has now introduced a limited-edition capsule in collaboration with Brazil's Cruzeiro mine, renowned for its high-quality tourmalines in various vibrant hues.
The collaboration came to life after representatives from the Cruzeiro mine visited Choudhrie’s studio—an elegant space adorned with deep rose hues—and presented her with an array of irresistible vivid pink tourmalines.
“I fell in love with the Cruzeiro tourmalines as soon as I saw them,” Choudhrie told AIDI. “They’re so rich and vibrant, and I knew I could turn them into something fresh and beautiful.”
Beyond the stunning gemstones, Choudhrie is enthusiastic about the partnership due to Cruzeiro’s commitment to sustainability. The mine follows strict environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, including prioritizing worker safety, using renewable resources, donating land to the local Cruzeiro village, and implementing reforestation and landscaping efforts.
The result of their collaboration is a 10-piece capsule collection that showcases Cruzeiro’s exquisite pink and green tourmalines, set in modern, fashion-forward designs. Interestingly, the original Vitamin Pink collection featured little actual pink, focusing instead on gemstone and mother-of-pearl pieces set in diamonds. In this new capsule, the tourmalines, combined with Choudhrie’s bespoke expertise in high jewelry, shine brightly, bringing her signature silhouettes to life with vivid colors.
Priced between $2,500 and $15,000, the collection includes playful and bold pieces. For instance, heart-shaped earrings adorned with clean stripes of lapis lazuli, malachite, and turquoise add a touch of romance. The earrings are intentionally mismatched to embody a cool, girl-next-door vibe.
But the real standout of the collection is pink—Choudhrie’s longtime favorite color.
“I’ve always loved pink,” Choudhrie said. “To me, it symbolizes feminine energy and strength. I gravitate toward pink gemstones because their range is just incredible—from soft pinks to deep magentas.”
Choudhrie sees pink as a neutral shade, versatile enough to pair with anything or serve as the foundation of any jewelry design. “What’s important to us is to celebrate natural-colored gemstones and to wear them every day,” she added. “These are the vitamins we need daily.”
This capsule marks the first in a series of ongoing collaborations with the Cruzeiro mine. Could we see more pink “vitamins” in the future? We can’t wait to find out!
