📍 Innovation, sustainability, and shifting diamond preferences spark new directions for the jewelry world at JCK Las Vegas 2025.

🗓️ Held from June 6 to 9 at the Venetian Expo, the show brought together 18,000+ attendees and 1,900+ exhibitors from over 100 countries, all spotlighting how the jewelry industry is evolving in real time. From AI-powered design to rising demand for fancy-shaped diamonds, JCK 2025 offered a glimpse into the industry's future.
💬 “It’s survival of the fittest,” said Binoy Shah of Asian Star. As gold prices fluctuate, designers are moving toward lighter, more affordable pieces—like prong-less diamonds and invisible bezels—with mass appeal from Gen X to boomers.
💡 At the Plumb Club, Shah’s booth showcased modern, minimal designs where diamonds take center stage. “We produce forward-thinking products that stay ahead of the curve,” he noted.
💎 On the trend radar? Elongated shapes dominate. “Ovals, elongated cushions, and radiants—especially in 5-carat-plus sizes—are the clear favorites this year,” shared Nilesh Chhabria of Finestar. Meanwhile, the comeback of old mine cuts (thanks, celebrities!) merges vintage charm with modern sparkle.
💬 “There’s confusion around tariffs, especially the proposed 10% on natural diamonds,” Chhabria added. Buyers are staying cautious and leaning on trusted local inventories.
✨ Priyal Shankar of Shivam Jewels echoed this shift: “Rounds are being replaced by fancies. Ovals, marquises, square emeralds—those are trending. Even side stones like half-moons and Cadillacs are catching attention.”
🎨 Color diamonds, too, are shining. Kunming Diamonds' Rahul Jauhari showcased pinks, greens, yellows—even a vivid orange and rare red. “Champagnes and browns are getting a lift from Pantone trends,” he explained.
🌍 India made a major mark at JCK, with 52 exhibitors in the India Pavilion curated by GJEPC. Ankit Shah from Ankit Gems emphasized the shift: “There are now two clear markets—lab-grown and natural—and customers are choosing.” Their 27-carat yellow cushion was a standout.
📈 “Natural diamonds still have strong demand,” said Devansh Shah of Venus Jewel. “Fancy shapes are now leading. I haven’t seen a round diamond on a celebrity engagement ring in years.”
🤖 AI design made waves with platforms like BLNG’s AI Creative Suite, enabling hyper-personalized jewelry creation. Smart inventory tools and repair tech brought operational upgrades to retailers.
🌱 Sustainability wasn’t just a buzzword—it had its own stage. The Sustainability Stage focused on ethical sourcing and green practices, reinforcing the industry’s eco-conscious pivot.
🎤 Events like JCK Rocks (yes, Snoop Dogg + Jason Derulo!) and wellness initiatives like Time With Puppies added fun and community to the business buzz.
🔮 In short: JCK Las Vegas 2025 proved that jewelry's future lies in adaptation, aesthetics, and advanced tech—all wrapped in sparkle.
