A stunning diamond bracelet once owned by actress Elizabeth Taylor exceeded all expectations at a recent London jewelry auction, selling for an impressive GBP 119,700 ($148,433).

The bracelet, featuring 27 radiant-cut, yellow-tinted diamonds—including a 3.38-carat centerpiece—was the highlight of Woolley & Wallis's January 30 Fine Jewelry sale. A gift from pop legend Michael Jackson to Taylor, the bracelet surpassed its upper estimate of GBP 70,000 ($86,815), sparking fierce bidding by phone and online.
Another noteworthy item in the auction was a Boucheron ring, which featured a 4.97-carat Kashmir sapphire surrounded by tapered baguette diamonds. The ring sold for GBP 233,100 ($289,100), far surpassing its estimated price of GBP 150,000 ($185,015).
Also on offer was a Cartier-designed Egyptian Revival ruby and diamond necklace from the 1920s. This striking piece, with a U-shaped pendant adorned with falcon-heads and a floral arrangement of cabochon rubies, fetched GBP 69,300 ($85,976), more than doubling its estimated high price of GBP 30,000 ($37,207).
Marielle Whiting, jewelry specialist at Woolley & Wallis, expressed her satisfaction with the auction's results, noting, "It was a strong sale, and we are delighted that many pieces exceeded their higher estimates, demonstrating that high-quality jewelry is still in demand and the market remains buoyant."
