The Company of Master Jewellers has announced the launch of a new industry-wide trade show set to take place in 2026.
CMJ are set to launch the standalone one-day show next March directly after its Spring Trade Event.
Planning for the new Midlands-based trade show, Access, was implemented in two stages.
First, CMJ reset the existing stand plan to ensure efficient use of floor space and has increased capacity by 12% as a result.
Then, the company consulted with a group of key suppliers who all agreed the event would benefit the sector as a whole.
Chairman Michael Aldridge said: “In September 2024 we introduced CMJ Pay as an incentive to encourage attendance to the CMJ Trade Event and guarantee there was money on the floor to be spent with CMJ suppliers who attend.
“This ensured that for the Autumn 2024 and Spring 2025 shows our retailer attendance was at a record high and therefore trade at the show, and following, for those suppliers in attendance, was strong.
“Our Autumn 2025 event is also on track for the same number of attendees and marks the third show in a row where all stands have sold out.
“Access will be a new trade event for the industry, owned and operated by the CMJ, which we believe will maximise our suppliers’ event experience and offer an additional trade route for their businesses.”
Access will be free for any bricks-and-mortar retail jewellers in the UK and Ireland to attend.
