Diane Goldstein
Diane Goldstein is an accomplished Paris-based designer and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the fashion industry. A graduate of ESMOD Paris and Central Saint Martins in London, she honed her skills working with prestigious houses like Chloé, Hussein Chalayan, and Paul & Joe. Her career reached a significant milestone with the founding of April May, a highly successful boho-fashion label she ran for ten years. Today, she channels all her expertise into Monoki—a holistic lifestyle brand reflecting her evolved creative vision.
Monoki
Diane’s work beautifully merges fashion, artisanal craftsmanship, and spirituality. Her jewelry collections, especially the “grigris” (talismans), are designed to serve as vessels of energy—offering protection, meaning, and connection to the wearer. Using gemstones like tiger’s eye and lapis lazuli, believed to carry healing properties, and often engraved with phrases like “heal me,” her pieces transcend adornment to become personal, sculptural artifacts that tell a story and evoke emotion.
Growing up in an artistic family—her mother is artist Hedva Ser, her father an architect—Diane was immersed in creativity from a young age. She inherited a passion for jewelry from her mother and grandmother, particularly admiring pieces by Claude Lalanne, which she views as “wearable mini-sculptures.” After closing April May, a transformative trip to Los Angeles inspired her to launch Monoki, a brand that integrates clothing, perfume, and jewelry into a cohesive philosophy. For Diane, Monoki is more than a brand—it’s a spiritual way of life.
