Autumn in New York has been romanticized in photos and films, by the sweet sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, and now with a skyline ring from Sigi Group, a third-generation, family-owned jewelry manufacturer based in Bangkok.
Fall (as well as spring) is the time of year a big city like New York is at its most appealing. It’s a season of transition, when it’s not too cold and not too hot, so you can truly appreciate thei surroundings. You’re not sweltering under the sun, or experiencing bone-chilling winds blustering in between buildings. You’re simply there, taking it all in, whether it’s the first time you’ve seen it or the thousandth.
With autumn nearing, Sigi has enshrined New York, along with Paris and Dubai, in a series of diamond rings. Without a doubt, a skyline immortalized in diamonds makes for one hell of a piece of jewelry. “Skylines often carry deep emotional significance, representing memories, milestones, and aspirations,” Rishi Rawat, director of Sigi Group, tells JCK via email. “Our goal was to translate that sentiment into a design that feels both timeless and distinctive.”
New York’s skyline, with its art deco–influenced glitz and glamor, makes the perfect subject for a diamond ring, baguette stones mimicking the clean lines and elongated silhouettes of skyscrapers, illuminated against a night sky.

The Paris ring serves as love letter to the beautiful City of Light, with Sacré-Cœur, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame in golden miniature, one’s own intimate connection to what’s often considered the most romantic city in the world to be kept close, on the finger. Round and baguette diamonds trace the lines of the iconic structures, topping a channel-set round diamond band.
“The creation of the collection involved close collaboration between our design and CAD teams to ensure both accuracy and wearability,” Rawat says. “Each skyline was thoughtfully interpreted to preserve its architectural essence while being adapted for production and everyday comfort. The inclusion of fancy-shaped diamonds added a further layer of complexity, requiring precise coordination and execution to achieve the intended silhouette and visual harmony.”

Rounding out the skyline trio is Dubai. While it’s difficult for me to wax poetic about a city I’ve never visited, there’s something inherently alluring about its cityscape in diamonds. You’ll recognize the towering Burj Khalifa and the sail-like Burj Al Arab that beckon visitors from afar. What better than diamonds to emulate the reflection of steel and glass under the desert sun—and to light up a city known for luxury?
Each skyline ring is made of 18k gold and hand-set in-house with colorless VVS diamonds, according to Rawat. Sigi prepared them in advance of the holiday season, and for city dwellers and starry-eyed travelers alike, what an exquisitely thoughtful gift these jewels would be.
