👑Titan Taps New Jewelry CEO Amid Rising Sales

· Discovery

Titan Company has appointed Arun Narayan as CEO of its jewelry division and Kuruvilla Markose to lead its watches operations.

For nearly 30 years, Narayan has worked in retail, marketing and sales roles within Titan and owner Tata group, the company said last week. He has been overseeing retail, marketing and merchandising for the Tanishq brand’s India business since April 2020.

Narayan will succeed Ajoy Chawla in the jewelry division, which encompasses the Tanishq, CaratLane, Mia and Zoya labels. Chawla will take over as managing director from C. K. Venkataraman, who plans to retire on January 1, 2026,

Markose joined the Tata administration service in 1995 and has since held various positions at the Indian multinational conglomerate, including in retail and consulting. In 2015, he began working at Titan as chief digital officer, and he is currently the head of the company’s international business division, leading an expansion in watches, jewelry, and eye care. In his new role as watches CEO, Markose will replace Suparna Mitra, who will step down on August 13.

Last week, Titan reported a jump in revenue for the first fiscal quarter that ended June 30, despite high gold prices. Its jewelry division saw an 18% year-on-year increase, while revenue for watches grew 23%.
