August, 2025 – The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), organizer of the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization), or GIT, serving as co-organizer, along with key partners from both the public and private sectors, have jointly announced the upcoming 72nd edition of the fair. Scheduled to take place from September 9–13, 2025, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), the fair is expected to generate over 100 million USD in trade value.

Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, the organizer of the fair, stated that “The Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair has been held continuously for over 40 years and stands as one of DITP’s key initiatives under our proactive export-promotion strategy. The fair serves as an international trading platform, enabling entrepreneurs and businesspeople from across the globe to connect, negotiate, build partnerships, explore new business opportunities, and foster comprehensive collaboration. Held twice annually, the fair is now recognized as one of the world’s top four trade fairs in the gems and jewelry industry and plays a crucial role in positioning Thailand as a leading global hub for gems and jewelry trade.”

“This 72nd edition will occupy all Halls 1–8 of QSNCC from September 9–13, 2025. It will feature 1,104 companies across 2,628 booths and is expected to welcome over 40,000 visitors from around the world, generating at least 100 million USD in trade value. A survey from the 71st edition revealed excellent overall satisfaction, with Bangkok Gems ranked as the number one trade fair among major global events. Today, the fair has grown significantly in every aspect and is recognized by buyers and importers worldwide as one of the four most important industry exhibitions globally, as well as the largest colored gemstone marketplace in the world” added by the Director-General.

Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director-General of GIT, the co-organizer of the fair, said that “The success of Bangkok Gems reflects the strong trust that global buyers have in Thailand’s gem and jewelry industry. In recent years, the fair has welcomed numerous world-renowned jewelry brands, further reinforcing its importance. The 72nd edition has once again received strong participation from both domestic and international exhibitors. Even with the expansion of the LG Foyer space since the 71st edition—allowing for over 2,600 booths—there is still a waiting list.”

He also shared details about the activities planned for the 72nd edition of the fair, including marketing and technical seminars, a networking reception to foster business partnerships, an exhibition showcasing Thai jewelry, and meetings with international partners. Notably, the World Gold Council, in collaboration with GIT and the Gold Traders Association of Thailand, will host the ‘Thailand Gold Forum’ within the fair—a platform for global knowledge exchange and cooperation that supports DITP’s proactive export-promotion strategy.
