Sophia Park Launches Spylxn Collection

Sophia Park says her jewelry brand Spylxn is all about play, drama, and fluidity, highlighting how jewelry is the most intimate accessory a person can wear as it seemingly attaches itself to the body.

Spylxn, which is pronounced spy-lon, is one to watch for Park’s spectacular, almost alien-inspired brand campaigns. Add in her jewelry’s success on music sensation Blackpink in its music video for “Jump,” and you can see why this New York City-based brand has sparked conversation.

Blackpink is a Korean pop band that has had global success over the past few years. Its members have each had recent breakout solo careers, and this was their first comeback video as a group. “Jump,” which premiered July 11 on YouTube, has more than 200 million views—so far.

“Rosé wore my earrings in the scene where they are flying. It’s quick but she’s wearing the Trinity Trap earrings,” Park says.

Sophia Park models Spylxn jewelry, including her Dorian Necklace ($995), that shows how she blends hard and soft lines within her body-focused jewelry.

Park is a second-generation American who says her jewelry work reflects her experience of existing between two worlds. The first is her Korean upbringing and the second is her life in the United States. She spent her early childhood in Korea before returning to the States at the age of 5.

Park began making jewelry while she was studying art in college, where she explored the relationship between form and movement. Her early career focused on performance art and set decoration for film and television.

Park moved into jewelry after taking several classes in art jewelry. She started making pieces at home while working for luxury lighting brand Gabriel Scott. She debuted Spylxn in 2019 with custom pieces and then released her first full collection in 2020.

After meeting one of her first clients, ZillaKami, Park went on to create almost a hundred sets of grillz for clients, most recently for Madonna’s Celebration tour, Eartheater, Joey Labeija, and Jazzelle aka @uglyworldwide. Her jewelry ranges from $95 to $3,500, making it affordable luxury, she says.

The Aegis Double Chain Bracelet ($390) is part of the Wrist collection, a reference to how designer Sophia Park thinks about jewelry’s placement on the body.

Her latest creation is the Aegis double chain bracelet, a handmade chain with an adjustable clasp that is part of her Wrist collection. All of Spylxn’s collections focus on a body part: Neck, Ear, Wrist, and Finger.

Park’s designs are like individual creatures, she says. Think about how a cat curls around your legs or a dog conforms to your lap. Park says her jewelry interacts with the body through different actions, like a huggie earring literally hugging the ear. By using multiple components in her jewelry pieces, Park lets her jewelry cup, hang, or rest on the body.

As a result, Spylxn is a brand “for introverts, who want drama and exist in multiple worlds,” she says.

Her current world is that of NYC’s Diamond District, where she sources her gemstones. Spylxn’s jewelry is made from sterling silver, gold, and platinum, all metals she tests to the limit with her sharp edges, hovering convergence points, and seemingly living silhouettes.

Park began conceptualizing the Spylxn spring/summer 2025 ad campaign after the loss of her father. Park says she found peace through creating the images, which she says center on the search for a higher power. The resulting photos are otherworldly, seemingly showing people’s search for intelligent life in the universe.

“I’ve always been interested in world-building as I used to be a performance artist, and in that art you use the body as inspiration and as your tool,” Park says. “Through my collections, I feel like I’m making my own design language, creating a repertoire of shapes that echo and relate to one another.”
