Pinterest is once again shaping future trends, but this time, it's all about color. With the launch of the 2025 Pinterest Palette, the platform is unveiling a curated selection of shades set to dominate fashion, interiors, and marketing in the coming year.
According to Xanthe Wells, Pinterest’s vice president of global creative, "The Pinterest Palette is entirely inspired by what our users are searching, saving, and shopping for. It's designed for creatives looking for fresh inspiration—whether for mood boards, photoshoots, merchandising, or product development."
The 2025 palette introduces five striking colors: Cherry Red, Butter Yellow, Aura Indigo, Dill Green, and Alpine Oat. These shades have been carefully selected using Pinterest's data and visual search insights.
Cherry Red, a deep, dramatic hue reminiscent of garnets and rubies, draws influence from the platform’s Cherry Coded trend. Butter Yellow is a soft, elegant pastel with a refined touch—think delicate yellow diamonds or rare jade.
Aura Indigo, despite its name, leans towards a bold lilac with a cool undertone. It pairs beautifully with light amethysts, lavender jade, or even a striking purple spinel. Dill Green, fresh and vibrant, is predicted to take over fashion, home décor, and even food trends. Its closest gemstone counterpart? Jade, which might just be the must-have stone of 2025.
Finally, Alpine Oat serves as the palette’s neutral anchor. This creamy, soft shade aligns with the current trend of solid mineral gemstones and versatile, natural hues.
