New CEO Marie Audier aims to expand With Clarity's offerings and global reach

Jewelry e-tailer With Clarity has appointed Marie Audier as its new CEO, marking a new chapter in the company's journey. Audier, originally from France, brings extensive experience in global marketing, having worked for major brands like Coach, Lancome, and Kiehl's. Her most recent venture was founding the Selects Gallery, an online platform for selling fashion photography. She stepped into her role as CEO in April, succeeding Anubh Shah, who co-founded With Clarity in 2015 with his wife, Slisha Shah, who is no longer involved in the company.

Audier sees significant transformation happening in the jewelry sector, particularly with the rise of lab-grown diamonds. She compares this shift to the e-commerce revolution of recent years, which democratized access to luxury products and redefined exclusivity. This transformation, she believes, presents substantial opportunities for companies like With Clarity to change consumer behavior and make premium jewelry more accessible.

With Clarity, formerly known as Four Mine, offers both natural and lab-grown diamonds, and Audier believes there is space for both in the market. "It’s really a question of customer preference," she says, emphasizing the importance of giving customers the freedom to choose between the two options. In line with this strategy, With Clarity has been expanding its fashion jewelry line, including categories like bracelets, tennis bracelets, and stud earrings, which are all seeing rapid growth.

Earlier this year, With Clarity opened its first brick-and-mortar boutique in New York City's SoHo district, and Audier hinted at potential future expansions, though no firm plans have been made yet. In 2022, Indian company Renaissance Global acquired With Clarity for $5 million, and Renaissance now serves as the company's exclusive supply chain partner. Audier did not confirm whether Renaissance still owns With Clarity, but Renaissance CEO Sumit Shah stated in an earnings call that their plan is to promote With Clarity globally, with launches in the U.K. and India planned for the coming quarters.

Audier's leadership comes at a time of significant change in the jewelry industry, where lab-grown diamonds are challenging traditional norms and reshaping consumer preferences. By expanding its offerings and exploring new markets, With Clarity aims to position itself as a leading brand that caters to diverse consumer needs, blending innovation with the luxury of choice.
