Los Angeles—A group of West Coast trade organizations are uniting to host a buying and selling event in Los Angeles next week.
The Diamond Club West Coast, in collaboration with the Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association, and Polygon, have announced “Trading Day,” a sourcing and networking event.
It will take place Aug. 18 at the Diamond Club West Coast offices at 550 S. Hill St., Suite 1600 in downtown Los Angeles.
Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the day provides an opportunity to connect with suppliers showcasing diamonds, gemstones, contemporary designed jewelry, vintage and estate jewelry, watches, and industry services.
Attendees can also discover exclusive deals and new inventory, organizers said.
Qualified buyers and industry trade professionals will receive free admission.
Complimentary lunch will be provided.
Registration, which can be done here, is required for all attendees, and final approval is subject to verification and vetting, organizers said.
Following the Trading Day event, the 5th Annual Mega Mixer Summer Soirée will take place at Casa Ipanema, a restaurant near the venue, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Ahead of the important holiday season and with the sourcing uncertainties caused by global tariffs, we wanted to create an opportunity for jewelry professionals to buy and sell goods locally—without the added cost of tariffs,” said Kalpesh Jhaveri, president of Diamond Club West Coast.
“And as a handshake-and-clink-glasses industry, we are excited to end with a social event to deepen and celebrate those in-person connections.”
The industry social gathering is hosted by the Diamond Club West Coast, Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association, Women’s Jewelry Association Los Angeles chapter, Polygon, Jewelers of America, Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California, and the Armenian Jewelers Association West Coast chapter.
The mixer will feature hosted bites, a cash bar, and a lively atmosphere, organizers said.
“This dynamic combination of a daytime trading event followed by an evening mixer was designed to maximize value and convenience for our community in Southern California,” said James Dimick of Krainz Creations, a mixer sponsor.
“It’s a full day of productivity and camaraderie, exactly what the industry needs right now.”
Members who register in advance on Eventbrite will receive a free ticket for themselves and one guest.
Only one registration is valid per person, even if affiliated with multiple organizations, the hosts noted.
A QR code will be required for entry.
Tickets at the door will be $30 for members and $50 for non-members.
