Kim Kardashian may not be in Paris for her typical fashion-related reasons, but she is in Paris nonetheless, and so she’s dressing the part.
The reality star and entrepreneur arrived at the Palais de Justice yesterday with mother Kris Jenner for the latest episode of her ongoing jewellery heist legal battle. Ten people are on trial in the case, accused of having stolen millions of dollars worth of jewellery from Kardashian in 2016. Readers may recall that the Skims founder was in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week when a group of criminals broke into her suite at Hôtel de Pourtalès, blindfolded her, tied her up, and held her at gunpoint as they stole all her prized jewels.
The case is brimming with drama, and for her court appearance yesterday, Kardashian mirrored that drama, sartorially. She was photographed arriving for the session in a black suit-inspired John Galliano gown with statement shoulders and a wavy peplum detail at the waist. Buttons ran all the way down the floor-length vintage dress, and a high slit broke up the back of the skirt.
Kardashian styled the black gown with pointed black slingback heels from Saint Laurent, jet-black cat-eye sunglasses, and a diamond necklace from Samer Halimeh New York with matching diamond earrings (including an £6,000 Briony Raymond ear cuff), rings, and an anklet. The jewellery was estimated to be worth more than £5.2 million, per Page Six.
Jenner also suited up in an oversized black, white, and red plaid Bottega Veneta blazer (once worn by her daughter Kendall Jenner) that she styled with a crisp white dress shirt, black trousers, and a maroon tie. She finished her look with chunky black shoes, a maroon bag and dark aviator shades — plus a sharp, curled-up bob.
