A Surat-based Indian diamond manufacturer, Greenlab, has crafted a unique 4.30-carat lab-grown diamond named the "Trump Diamond" to honor the strong diplomatic ties between India and the United States. This diamond serves as a symbol of goodwill and admiration for U.S. leadership, continuing the tradition of using lab-grown gems as tokens of international relations.

Greenlab, renowned for its expertise in producing lab-grown diamonds, previously made headlines in June 2023 when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented a 7.5-carat lab-grown diamond to then-First Lady Jill Biden. The creation of the Trump Diamond, which took two months to produce, is another step in promoting India's growing role in the lab-grown diamond industry. Greenlab produces an impressive 1.5 million carats of lab-grown diamonds annually at its state-of-the-art facilities.
This diamond is expected to be gifted to the newly sworn-in U.S. president as a gesture of appreciation for the continued partnership between the two nations.
“This 4.30-carat masterpiece is more than a diamond—it’s a symbol of leadership, innovation, and the strong bond between India and the United States,” said Smit Patel, Director of Greenlab.
Lab-grown diamonds have seen a surge in popularity due to their eco-friendly production process and ethical sourcing. Greenlab is leading this revolution in India’s diamond industry, showcasing both technological innovation and the cultural and economic ties between India and the U.S. through this special creation.
