India's Top Jewelry Exporters Shine at the 51st IGJA Awards

The 51st India Gem and Jewellery Awards (IGJA), hosted by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), celebrated the outstanding contributions of India’s leading jewelry exporters in a grand ceremony held in Jaipur on December 2, 2024.

Honoring Excellence Across Categories

This year’s awards recognized excellence in 24 categories, including:

  • 14 Industry Performance Awards.
  • 7 Special Recognition Awards.
  • 2 Commendation Awards.
  • 1 Award for Banks Supporting the Gems and Jewelry Sector.

The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Pramod Agrawal, Chairman of Derewala Industries Ltd, by none other than Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group. The event was attended by top industry leaders, including Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, Sachin Jain, CEO of the World Gold Council India, and Gopal Kumar, Director and General Manager of Gemfields India Pvt Ltd.

A Vision for the Future: Technology and Sustainability

During the ceremony, Gautam Adani emphasized the importance of innovation and responsibility in shaping the future of the jewelry industry:

“Technology and sustainability are the two pillars of future development. As we embrace the digital age, we must ensure business growth aligns with innovative and responsible practices. Empowering skilled artisans with digital tools will elevate our traditional craftsmanship to new heights. Ultimately, the youth are the architects of the future, and together, we must nurture their potential to create a globally shining India.”

Founded in 1973, the IGJA has long been a symbol of excellence in the gems and jewelry sector. The awards celebrate entrepreneurial spirit and technological innovation, recognizing individuals and organizations whose efforts have propelled India's jewelry industry to global prominence.

By honoring these exceptional contributors, the IGJA continues to set a benchmark for the country’s thriving jewelry export industry.
