· Event

The Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) recently conducted a dynamic three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop in Mumbai, held from July 31 to August 2, 2025. The initiative underlines GJSCI’s ongoing dedication to strengthening the talent pipeline within the Indian jewellery industry.

This focused training session specifically targeted the skill development of 12 carefully selected trainers specializing in the roles of Imitation Jewellery Maker and Artificial Jewellery Maker. Participants hailed from Odisha, as well as Maharashtra’s Thane and Kolhapur districts.

Designed to blend theory with practical exposure, the workshop enabled trainers to refine their techniques and deepen their craft knowledge. A standout feature was the live demonstration segment, where participants engaged in the real-time creation of traditional jewellery, enhancing both their confidence and instructional capabilities.

The program’s success was bolstered by the expertise of Master Trainer Sangeeta Arun Patil, whose engaging and insightful sessions were widely appreciated by attendees. GJSCI acknowledged her valuable contribution in elevating the overall impact of the training.

Through initiatives like this, GJSCI continues to pave the way for sustainable growth in the jewellery sector by empowering trainers to pass on essential skills to the next generation of artisans.
