J.K. Symancyk (pronounced Si-MAN-chik), 52, officially took over as the new CEO of Signet Jewelers, the world’s largest jewelry retailer, last week. Previously the CEO of PetSmart, Symancyk brings extensive leadership experience to his new role.
A Shift in Leadership
Symancyk will be based at Signet’s Dallas office, which is increasingly becoming the company’s strategic hub, replacing its traditional headquarters in Akron, Ohio. He succeeds Gina Drosos, who will continue as a company advisor until the end of the year.
A Vision for the Future
In a LinkedIn post, Symancyk shared his enthusiasm for the role, writing, “The holiday season truly highlights the best of our company as we bring joy and celebrate life’s special moments with millions of customers. Witnessing this passion firsthand in our Dallas stores and campus has made me even more excited to help shape the next chapter of Signet’s growth.”
He also expressed gratitude to the Signet team, saying, “Thank you for the warm welcome and for all you do for our customers and each other every day.”
