Breitling’s wildest Super Bowl watch yet

Philadelphia—A year after signing a deal that allows it to make officially licensed watches for the NFL, Breitling has rolled out a limited-edition watch honoring the team that won Super Bowl LIX.

Introduced last week, the Classic Avi Chronograph 42 Super Bowl LIX Philadelphia Eagles watch has an 18-karat red gold case and a midnight green (or Eagles green) dial with white subdials.

The Eagles bird-head logo is featured at the center of the 9 o’clock subdial position, and the caseback is engraved with the official Super Bowl LIX logo, along with watch’s number.

Breitling said the early instruments it created for airplane cockpits inspired the design of the Classic Avi Chronograph 42, which is powered by the COSC-certified caliber 23 movement. The watch has a 48-hour power reserve.

It is available with a brown calfskin leather strap ($21,000) or 18-karat red gold bracelet ($41,000).

Breitling’s Super Bowl LIX watch is limited to 59 pieces.

The first watch, 01, went to the player on the Eagles who wears No. 1, quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Hurts was the MVP of Super Bowl LIX, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for one in his team’s 40-22 rout of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The victory marked the second Super Bowl win for the Eagles franchise, but the first for the 26-year-old quarterback.

It was also the first time in history that a QB who wears No. 1 has won a Super Bowl.

Breitling released the watch to coincide with the team’s Super Bowl ring ceremony, a green-carpet event held Friday night in Philadelphia, and Hurts wore his watch to the ceremony.

As the reigning NFL champs, the Eagles will play in the first game of the 2025 season, taking on division rival the Dallas Cowboys in Philadelphia on Thursday, Sept 4.
