Boucheron’s latest high jewelry collection, Histoire de Style: Untamed Nature, offers a stunning reimagining of the house’s archival pieces, turning the beauty of nature into wearable works of art.
Under the creative direction of Claire Choisne, the collection presents 28 versatile designs that seamlessly blend the human form with the natural world. Each piece, crafted from white gold and set with pavé diamonds, incorporates materials such as mother-of-pearl, rock crystal, onyx, and black lacquer, drawing inspiration from the house’s founder, Frédéric Boucheron. Unlike traditional floral designs, Boucheron famously embraced everyday plants and insects like ivy, thistles, and bumblebees.
One of the standout pieces, the Airelles necklace, is inspired by the lingonberry plant. Its detachable stems transform into cascading brooches or smaller pins. The intricate design features 84 teardrop-patterned leaves, each meticulously set with diamonds.
The Mouche brooch, shaped like a fly, pays tribute to an essential element of the ecosystem. Made from white gold, the fly features delicate rock crystal and mother-of-pearl wings, a pavé diamond body, and black lacquer accents.
The Fleur de Carotte brooch captures the delicate beauty of wild carrot flower clusters, symbolizing purity. This is the only piece in the collection not directly inspired by Boucheron’s archives, but rather adding the botanical Daucus carota to the brand’s evolving jewelry collection. This brooch can also double as a hair accessory.
The Fuchsia pendant earrings mirror the bell-shaped flowers of the same name, symbolizing passion. Each earring features 4.10 carats of pear-cut diamonds that move with the wearer, adding dynamic movement to the natural design.
Lastly, Choisne’s interpretation of Boucheron’s iconic ivy motif is embodied in the Lierre necklace. This versatile piece can wrap around the arm as a bracelet, drape across the chest as a brooch, or break apart into smaller hair jewels. Mounted on trembler springs, the leaves mimic ivy swaying gently in the breeze.
