The 24 Karat Club of the City of New York’s annual banquet is returning to the Waldorf Astoria in 2026, following an eight-year absence.
In 2016, the Waldorf closed for renovations. After that, the banquet, which had been held at the hotel’s grand ballroom since 1913, spent three years at two venues in midtown—the Hilton and the Sheraton—before settling at Cipriani South Street in 2022.
But with the Waldorf having reopened in July, the industry’s ritziest and most prestigious banquet is coming home.
The next 24 Karat Club banquet will take place Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Waldorf.
“The Waldorf Astoria has always been more than just a venue for us,” said Jeffrey Cohen, chair of the 24 Karat Club of the City of New York, in a statement. “It has been the home of our banquet, a symbol of the sophistication and tradition that define the 24 Karat Club.”
