Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) has awarded $9,000 in scholarships to four aspiring jewelry designers to support them through their training.
The Future of Jewelry Making grant endowed through the MJSA Education Foundation has contributed $2,250 toward the studies of each student, the group said recently. This year’s recipients are Elle Jerge, J. Kreis, Anastacia Lauren and Logan Nye.
Jerge is entering her senior year at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, where she is undertaking a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in jewelry. Meanwhile, Kreis has joined the New Approach School for Jewelers in Tennessee, with plans to graduate from the school’s Bench Jeweler program by spring 2026.
Lauren is pursuing a Jewelry Design Technology diploma at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in California, which she expects to complete in the spring of 2026. Nye is beginning his final year at the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology in Paris, Texas, where he is studying toward a certificate in Jewelry Technology.
Since its launch in 1997, the MJSA Education Foundation has allocated more than $280,000 in scholarships.
